How we rate products

Every product gets the same ValueInsight Score out of 10, built from the same five factors. No brand pays for a score.

Where our information comes from

We read hundreds of real buyer reviews on Amazon India — especially the 1, 2 and 3 star ones, because that is where the problems show up. We compare prices, warranties and similar products, and we watch the reels and ads that made the product go viral.

AI helps us read and group thousands of reviews quickly. The formula below stays fixed for every product, so each score can be explained line by line.

The five factors

FactorWeight
Buyer satisfaction
Amazon star rating, adjusted for how many people rated it. 4.3★ from 20,000 buyers beats 4.6★ from 80.
30%
Complaint severity
Recurring problems in 1–3★ reviews. Breaks within a month or a safety issue is a big cut; a minor annoyance is a small one.
25%
Value for money
Price compared with similar products that do the same job.
20%
Durability & warranty
Warranty length, brand service, and how often buyers report it stopped working.
15%
Hype gap
How close real use is to what the reel or ad shows. 10 means it does exactly what the reel promised.
10%

Each factor is scored 0–10. The final score is the weighted average.

What the verdict means

How we make money

When you buy through our Amazon links, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. We still give a “Skip” verdict when a product deserves it, even though that means we earn nothing on it.

Keeping scores fresh

Products change, and so do reviews. Each page shows when it was last updated, and we re-check popular products regularly.
