Takes the pills off sweaters and blankets, and most buyers are happy. The catch: it's slow on fine fuzz, and a cheap unit can die within months. Pick the ₹347 Nova and go gently on thin knits.

What the reel shows vs what buyers say

Reel promise
Reality
Old sweaters look new again
Mostly true on thick woollens and blankets. On fine fuzz and black clothes, buyers say they go over the same patch again and again.
Safe on all fabrics
Careful on thin knits. A few buyers say the blade cut holes in light sweaters when pressed hard.
60 minutes on one charge (AGARO rechargeable)
Some buyers get it; others say the battery runs out in 15 minutes, or stops charging after a few months.
1-year warranty
Some buyers got a quick replacement. Others say claims went nowhere, and a few lower-priced listings offer replacement only, no return.

What buyers are complaining about

Ranked by how many of the 139 critical reviews mention each problem.

1
Stops working within days or months34 of 139

The biggest issue across all four. Works at first, then won't switch on or the blades stop spinning, anywhere from 2 days to 6 months in.

2
Arrived used, damaged or missing parts23 of 139

Dirty or opened units, lint already inside, broken boxes, and the cleaning brush missing.

3
Slow, misses fine lint22 of 139

Takes several passes on the same spot, and small fuzz or pet hair stays behind.

4
Flimsy, noisy, short cord21 of 139

Light plastic that feels like a toy, loud vibration, a lint tray that falls off, and a short wire on the corded models.

Buy it if…

  • Your woollens, blankets or sofa covers have pills and bobbles
  • You're fine with a ₹300–₹550 gadget that may need replacing in a year or two
  • You'll use it near a plug point (corded models are the more reliable picks here)

Skip it if…

  • You mostly need to remove pet hair or dust (a sticky lint roller does that better)
  • Your sweaters are very thin or delicate
  • You want a gadget that lasts for years

Questions people ask

Which lint remover is best in India?

The ₹347 Nova (7.4/10): 4.4★ from 3,100+ buyers and the lowest share of complaints we found. The ₹555 AGARO is the pick if you want cordless, but its battery is the most common complaint.

Corded or rechargeable?

Corded models don't have battery problems, which is one of the main ways the rechargeable ones fail. Go rechargeable only if you don't have a plug point near where you'll use it.

Will it damage my sweater?

Not on thick woollens if you keep it flat and don't press. A few buyers say it cut holes in thin sweaters, so test on an inside seam first.

Does it remove pet hair?

Not well. Buyers say it misses cat and dog hair. Use a sticky lint roller for that.
